A vibrant green botanical powder made from the dried leaves of Moringa oleifera. Finely milled and easy to incorporate into everyday recipes, Moringa Leaf Powder has a distinctive earthy, green flavour and a long history as a food ingredient in regions where the tree is grown.
New to Moringa? Discover the remarkable tree behind this vibrant green powder, how the leaves become a pantry-ready ingredient and a few simple things to know before exploring it at home.
Moringa is the common name for Moringa oleifera, a fast-growing tree whose leaves have long been eaten as a food in regions where the plant is cultivated.
Moringa oleifera is native to the Indian subcontinent and is now cultivated across many tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and beyond.
The green leaves of the Moringa tree are harvested and dried before being finely milled into the smooth botanical powder found inside your pouch.
A 20 g pouch of pure Moringa Leaf Powder, ready to blend, mix or sprinkle into your favourite foods and drinks.
Not completely. Moringa is a finely milled whole-leaf powder rather than a soluble drink powder, so some natural plant material remains suspended when stirred into water. Blending or whisking helps distribute it more evenly.
Moringa Leaf Powder is a powdered botanical food ingredient rather than a conventional tea. It can be mixed into drinks, while whole or cut Moringa leaves are more commonly steeped and strained when preparing a traditional herbal infusion.
Moringa Leaf Powder is wonderfully simple to use. Because the whole dried leaf has been finely milled, there is no need to steep or strain it — simply blend, stir or sprinkle a little into foods and drinks you already enjoy.
Begin with around ½ teaspoon of Moringa Leaf Powder. Its earthy, green flavour is distinctive, so starting small makes it easy to discover how you enjoy it best.
Add Moringa Leaf Powder to your favourite smoothie with fruit, greens and your preferred liquid, then blend until smooth and evenly combined.
Mix a little Moringa Leaf Powder into yoghurt, oats, porridge or a breakfast bowl. Stir thoroughly and pair with fruit, seeds or other favourite toppings.
Explore Moringa beyond drinks by adding a small amount to dressings, dips, sauces, soups and other everyday recipes where its green, herbaceous character works naturally.
Moringa Leaf Powder does not need to dissolve completely to be enjoyed. It is finely milled whole-leaf material, so simply stir or blend it well and experiment with the amount and combinations that suit your taste.
Add the yoghurt, Moringa Leaf Powder and lemon juice to a small bowl and stir until evenly combined. Fold through the lemon zest, parsley and garlic. Season lightly with salt and black pepper. Allow to stand for a few minutes before serving so the flavours can come together.
Blend the pineapple, lime juice, Moringa Leaf Powder and cold water until smooth. Pour through a fine strainer if you prefer a lighter texture. Fill a glass with ice, pour over the pineapple mixture and top with sparkling water. Stir gently and finish with fresh mint if desired.
Add all ingredients to a small blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Add a little extra water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dressing reaches your preferred consistency. Taste and adjust the lemon, salt or pepper if needed.
Spoon over salads, grain bowls and roasted vegetables or use as a fresh green dipping sauce.
Add the dates, oats, coconut, Moringa Leaf Powder, nut or seed butter, cinnamon and salt to a food processor. Process until the mixture begins to hold together.
Roll into small bite-sized balls between your palms, then roll lightly in additional coconut if desired. Refrigerate until firm and store chilled in a sealed container.
