Dried Elderflowers (Sambucus nigra) are a delicate traditional floral botanical, recognised for their tiny cream-white blossoms and distinctive sweet, softly floral aroma.

Traditionally prepared as a herbal infusion, the dried blossoms create what is commonly known as elderflower tea — a light, fragrant botanical cup that can be enjoyed on its own or blended with complementary flowers and herbs.

Elderflowers have a long history within European herbal and culinary traditions. The fragrant blossoms of the elder tree have been gathered seasonally for generations and used in teas, cordials, syrups and other botanical preparations.

At Flowers from my Meadow, our Elderflowers are kept pure and uncomplicated — carefully packed as a single dried botanical for tea, botanical blending and creative preparations.

How to Prepare

Add 1–2 teaspoons of dried Elderflowers to a cup or teapot. Pour over freshly boiled water, cover and allow to steep for 5–10 minutes.

Strain before serving.

Elderflowers create a light, gently floral and aromatic infusion. Enjoy on their own or combine with complementary botanicals according to taste.

Precautions

Use only properly identified, prepared dried elderflowers intended for botanical preparations. Other parts of the elder plant, particularly unripe berries, leaves and stems, should not be prepared in the same way as the flowers.

If pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a medical condition, seek appropriate professional guidance before using herbal preparations.

Discontinue use if irritation or sensitivity occurs.

Size: 20 g resealable kraft pouch

Storage

Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Important: Keep out of reach of children.

    The Story Behind the Flower

Elderflowers appear in delicate clusters of tiny cream-white blossoms, bringing with them one of the most distinctive fragrances of the early summer landscape.

For generations, the flowers of the elder tree have been gathered and used in traditional teas, cordials and botanical preparations. Carefully dried, the blossoms retain their wonderfully light, aromatic character and delicate appearance.

When steeped, Elderflowers create a gentle floral infusion with a soft, fragrant and subtly sweet character. They can be enjoyed on their own or paired beautifully with other flowers, herbs and citrus in loose-leaf blends and refreshing botanical drinks.

At Flowers from my Meadow, we love Elderflowers for their understated beauty and unmistakable aroma. Our dried flowers are carefully selected and packed to preserve their natural colour, fragrance and botanical character — ready for simple teas, creative blends and everyday botanical rituals.
