Salvia hispanica · Whole Chia Seeds · Fibre-Rich Botanical Pantry
Small and wonderfully versatile, whole Chia Seeds bring gentle crunch and a satisfying texture to everyday kitchen creations. These tiny seeds come from Salvia hispanica, a flowering plant in the mint family traditionally cultivated for food.
When combined with liquid, Chia Seeds swell into a soft gel that lends body to breakfast puddings, fruit cups and blended drinks. Their natural fibre and plant-based fats make them an inviting addition to a varied, nourishing pantry.
At Flowers from my Meadow, we keep it pure and uncomplicated: whole Chia Seeds, carefully packed for breakfasts, baking and botanical kitchen rituals.
How to Prepare
For chia gel: Stir 1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds into 1 cup of water, milk or juice, allow to hydrate for 15–20 minutes and stir again to prevent clumping.
For breakfast and baking: Enjoy thoroughly hydrated Chia in overnight oats, yoghurt bowls, fruit puddings or moisture-rich baking preparations. Adjust the amount to suit your recipe.
Precautions
Do not swallow dry Chia Seeds directly, as they expand when wet and can present a choking risk, particularly for people with swallowing difficulties. Introduce additional fibre gradually, drink adequate fluids and consult a healthcare professional when managing a relevant health condition or taking medication.
Size & Packaging
100g whole Chia Seeds in a resealable kraft pouch.
Storage
Keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, heat and moisture.
