Meadow Botanical Bath Tea

A four-botanical muslin bath sachet for a comfortably warm floral home ritual.

Ingredients & materials

  • 2 tablespoons completely dried chamomile flowers
  • 2 tablespoons completely dried lavender blossoms
  • 1 tablespoon completely dried rose petals
  • 1 tablespoon completely dried calendula petals
  • ½ cup Epsom salts, optional
  • One clean, dry, securely closing cotton or muslin bath bag

How to prepare the bath sachet

  1. Check that all botanicals and the cloth bag are clean, completely dry and free of foreign material.
  2. Combine the chamomile, lavender, rose and calendula. Add the optional Epsom salts if preferred and compatible with your needs.
  3. Spoon the dried mixture into the cotton or muslin bag and tie or close it securely so loose petals do not scatter into the bath.
  4. Place the secured bag in comfortably warm running bathwater. Test the water temperature before entering; never use very hot water.
  5. Allow the bath sachet to infuse gently in the water, and bathe for approximately 15–20 minutes only if comfortable. Remove the bag and any loose petals before draining.
  6. Discard the wet contents after use; do not dry and reuse them. Rinse the bath surfaces, then dry carefully to avoid slipping.

Safety & care

Bath tea is not a drink. This preparation is for external bathwater only: do not brew or swallow it. Chamomile and calendula belong to the Asteraceae/daisy family; do not use if allergic to these or related plants. Avoid lavender and rose if sensitive to their botanical fragrances or materials. Do not use on broken, infected or irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation, itching or discomfort occurs. If you have impaired heat sensation, circulation problems or medical conditions affecting the skin or bathing, seek professional advice first. Bathwater and residual petals can create slip hazards; use stable footing and remove residue before draining. Keep the dry botanicals, salts and wet bag out of reach of children and pets; supervise children around water. Do not claim healing, sleep, muscle-recovery or therapeutic effects.

Use and storage: Make the bath sachet fresh from dry ingredients. Keep unused dry ingredients sealed away from moisture, and discard the wet sachet immediately after use. No shelf life, tested storage duration or cosmetic formulation stability is claimed.
