Chamomile & Lavender Bath Sachet

A gentle, floral bath sachet made with dried chamomile and lavender.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried chamomile
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender
  • ½ cup Epsom salt, optional
  • One clean cotton or muslin bag

How to prepare

  1. Combine the dried chamomile and lavender with the optional Epsom salt.
  2. Spoon the mixture into the cotton or muslin bag.
  3. Tie securely so that the plant material stays contained.
  4. Place the sachet in warm running bathwater, away from the drain.
  5. Allow the botanicals to infuse while you enjoy a comfortable bath for approximately 15–20 minutes, if tolerated.
  6. Remove the sachet after bathing. Discard the damp contents rather than storing a wet sachet for reuse.

Preparation and safety notes

Use warm, not very hot, bathwater and check the temperature before entering. For external bath use only; not a drink. Avoid this ritual if you are sensitive or allergic to chamomile, lavender or plants in the daisy/Asteraceae family. Do not use on broken or irritated skin; discontinue if redness, itching or discomfort occurs. Follow any medical guidance relevant to bathing and individual skin conditions. Use caution entering and leaving a wet bath, and keep the sachet and botanicals away from young children and pets. No therapeutic claims are made.
