Ginger & Turmeric Warming Tea
A golden, gently spiced botanical cup of dried ginger and turmeric root, enjoyed simply for its flavour.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon dried ginger root pieces
- 1 teaspoon dried turmeric root pieces

- Honey, optional, added after cooling slightly
How to prepare

- Turn off the heat and carefully strain all root pieces from the infusion into a heat-safe cup.
- Let the drink cool to a comfortable sipping temperature, then add an optional squeeze of fresh lemon or a little honey if desired.
- Serve fresh, appreciating the earthy, bright, spice-led flavour.
Preparation & safety notes
This is a culinary botanical infusion, not a treatment for any condition. Ginger and turmeric may be unsuitable for people with botanical sensitivities, gallbladder problems or certain medical conditions, and may interact with medications including anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents. If pregnant, breastfeeding, taking blood-thinning medication or managing gallbladder concerns, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before regular or concentrated consumption. If you experience discomfort, stop using the preparation. Keep children and pets away from the hot saucepan and liquid, and allow the strained drink to cool before sipping. Honey is not suitable for infants under 12 months. Prepare fresh; do not claim a tested storage period or therapeutic benefits.
From the Meadow · Editorial distinction
Unlike the later archived Golden Turmeric & Ginger Cup, which specifies more turmeric than ginger, less water and a longer simmer, this source uses equal teaspoon measures of both roots, 2 cups water and a 10-minute simmer. These are distinct original formulations with different root proportions and simmer times. Our matching botanicals are Ginger Root Pieces and Turmeric Root Pieces.
