Botanical & serving notes

  • Our root: This recipe uses our dried, chopped Taraxacum officinale Dandelion Root. It is not pre-roasted, and this preparation is a gentle decoction, not a roasted coffee-style blend.
  • Gallbladder, bile duct and kidney conditions: Ask a healthcare professional before consuming Dandelion Root if you have gallstones, bile duct problems, a kidney condition or another relevant health concern.
  • Medication interactions: Dandelion may interact with some medicines, including diuretics, blood thinners/anticoagulants and diabetes medication. Speak with a qualified healthcare professional if you take medicines.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Safety of concentrated or frequent Dandelion Root preparations during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. Avoid concentrated use unless advised by a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Allergies and optional additions: Avoid if sensitive to Dandelion or related daisy-family plants. Milk adds a dairy allergen. Honey is optional, and honey-containing drinks are unsuitable for infants under 12 months. Cinnamon can also cause sensitivity in some people.
  • Fresh preparation: Prepare with clean equipment, strain carefully to avoid splashing, and serve warm. No finished-drink storage period, clinical benefit, caffeine test or shelf life is claimed.
