Ginkgo biloba · Dried Leaves · Traditional Botanical
With their distinctive fan-shaped silhouette and remarkable botanical history, Ginkgo leaves come from one of the world's oldest surviving tree lineages.
Ginkgo biloba is a deciduous tree originally native to China, recognised for its elegant, often two-lobed leaves and golden autumn colour. The leaves have a long history in Asian botanical traditions and have become familiar in modern herbal research.
Our dried Ginkgo Biloba Leaves are a single botanical ingredient with a subtle, leafy aroma and an earthy, mildly bitter character. They are supplied loose rather than as a standardised extract.
At Flowers from my Meadow, we keep it pure and uncomplicated: carefully packed dried Ginkgo leaves, offered for informed exploration of traditional botanical heritage and specialist herbal preparations. Their mild, earthy character and distinctive leaf form reflect a botanical quite different from a standardised extract.
Traditional Botanical Preparations
Ginkgo leaves have historically been used in herbal preparations and are also studied in the form of specially processed extracts. Loose dried leaves are not interchangeable with standardised Ginkgo extracts; preparation methods and concentrations can differ substantially.
Seek guidance from a suitably qualified practitioner before preparing dried Ginkgo leaves for internal use. We do not recommend a self-directed daily dosage or homemade tincture regimen.
Botanical Pantry Inspiration — Ginkgo, Rosemary & Peppermint
Our former Clarity & Focus Tea featured Ginkgo leaves alongside Rosemary and Peppermint. Their contrasting leaf shapes, colours and aromas make an interesting botanical-blending study. Whether an ingestible Ginkgo preparation is appropriate, and its method and quantity, should be determined by a qualified professional rather than assumed from a general herbal-tea recipe.
Precautions
Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding or for children. Consult a healthcare professional before use, especially if taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet medicines, medicines for seizures or other prescription treatments, or if you have a bleeding disorder. Seek medical guidance before any planned surgery. Do not consume Ginkgo seeds; they can be poisonous.
Stop using the product if sensitivity or an adverse reaction occurs. Dried Ginkgo leaves are not a substitute for treatment of memory concerns or circulatory conditions.
