Elderberry, Hibiscus, Blueberry & Rooibos · Fruity Botanical Tea

Bright, ruby-red and wonderfully berry-forward, Berry Blossom Tea brings together four botanicals in a colourful, naturally caffeine-free loose-leaf blend.

Elderberry brings rich, dark fruit character while Blueberry adds gentle sweetness. Hibiscus adds a lovely floral note, beautifully rounded by the smooth, earthy warmth of South African Rooibos.

At Flowers from my Meadow, our Berry Blossom Tea is thoughtfully blended for its natural flavour and colour — Pure & Uncomplicated.

Key Botanicals

  • Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)
  • Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis)
  • Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum)
  • Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis)

How to Prepare Safely

Because Berry Blossom Tea contains dried Elderberries, do not prepare it by simply steeping the dried blend or as an uncooked cold brew. For one generous cup: (1) Add 1–2 teaspoons of the loose blend to a saucepan with approximately 300ml water. (2) Bring to a full boil and boil for at least 10 minutes. (3) Reduce the heat and simmer gently for another 10 minutes, topping up with water if necessary. (4) Strain thoroughly, discarding the berries and other botanical solids. (5) Sweeten to taste and serve warm, or cool the fully cooked and strained tea before serving over ice. Use only properly identified, ripe elderberries with stems and leaves removed; cooking does not make unsuitable plant material safe.

Precautions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Berry Blossom Tea?
Berry Blossom Tea is a caffeine-free loose leaf botanical blend made with Elderberry, Hibiscus, Blueberry and Rooibos. It brews into a naturally vivid ruby-red infusion with a fruity, tart and gently earthy character
What does Berry Blossom Tea taste like?
Berry Blossom has a fruity and tart flavour, with deeper berry notes balanced by the smooth, gently earthy character of Rooibos.
Is Berry Blossom Tea caffeine-free?
Yes. Berry Blossom is naturally caffeine-free because it is made from botanicals and Rooibos rather than traditional black or green tea leaves.
What gives Berry Blossom Tea its red colour?
Hibiscus contributes strongly to the blend’s vivid ruby-red infusion, while the berries add further depth of colour and botanical character.
How do you brew Berry Blossom Tea?
Because Berry Blossom Tea contains dried elderberries, do not prepare it by steeping alone. Add 1–2 teaspoons of the blend to a saucepan with approximately 300 ml water. Bring to a full boil and boil for at least 10 minutes, then simmer for another 10 minutes. Strain thoroughly and discard the botanicals. Enjoy warm or cool the fully cooked, strained tea before serving over ice.
Can Berry Blossom Tea be served cold?
Yes, but it must first be fully cooked because the blend contains dried elderberries. Boil for at least 10 minutes, simmer for another 10 minutes, then strain and allow the cooked tea to cool before serving over ice. Do not make Berry Blossom as an uncooked cold brew or by simply steeping the dried blend.
What botanicals are in Berry Blossom Tea?
The key botanicals are Elderberry, Hibiscus, Blueberry and Rooibos, brought together in a colourful loose leaf blend.
Can I add fruit, lemon or honey?
Yes. Berry Blossom can be enjoyed simply as brewed, or paired with additions such as fresh berries, citrus or a little honey according to taste.
