Botanical & serving notes

  • Correct botanical: Use only the food-grade dried Gomphrena globosa Globe Amaranth Flowers supplied by Flowers from my Meadow for teas and culinary recipes. Do not use florist or ornamental flowers treated with non-food-safe chemicals.
  • Fresh fruit: Rinse strawberries and the lime under running water before slicing, including the lime peel. Use sound, clean produce and utensils; never wash fruit using soap.
  • Cold preparation: Cool the hot strained infusion promptly, then add the fruit and refrigerate until chilled. Keep fruit-containing tea refrigerated rather than leaving sliced fruit at room temperature. No prepared-drink shelf life is stated.
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding and medical considerations: Evidence on regular medicinal herbal intake is limited; consult a qualified healthcare professional about suitability if pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a medical condition.
  • Honey and allergies: Honey is optional and honey-containing drinks are not suitable for infants under 12 months. Avoid the drink if sensitive to Globe Amaranth, strawberries, lime or other included ingredients; discontinue use if a reaction occurs.
  • Natural colour: Petal shades and infusion colour can vary naturally from batch to batch. The colour of your finished drink may differ from photographs.
