Calendula, Rose & Chamomile Botanical Pause
A simple, dry botanical display for a quiet sensory pause — without hot water or facial steaming.
Botanicals for a dry display
- 1 tbsp calendula
- 1 tbsp food-grade dried rose petals
- 1 tsp chamomile
- One clean, dry, stable ceramic dish
How to prepare the non-steam ritual
- Place the dried calendula, rose petals and chamomile in a clean, completely dry ceramic dish.
- Arrange as a decorative botanical display on a stable surface away from food preparation, drafts, children and pets.
- Take a quiet moment to appreciate their colours and textures. If you notice a gentle natural scent from an ordinary comfortable distance, enjoy it without bringing the bowl close to your face.
- Afterwards, tidy the flowers away, keeping them dry or discarding if damp or dusty.
No steam or water required. Do not heat, burn, crush, aerosolise or deliberately inhale the botanicals, and do not apply them to the face or skin. This is a decorative sensory ritual, not a facial treatment or inhalation therapy. The original hot-water recipe remains archived in Notion and is not the recommended preparation.
Safety notes
Keep botanicals away from children and pets. Avoid use with chamomile, calendula, rose or related plant allergies, including Asteraceae sensitivities. Fragrance or airborne particles may irritate some people with asthma or scent sensitivities; skip the ritual if affected. Do not position near fans, air vents or flames. Stop and remove the display if sneezing, coughing or other discomfort occurs. Discard damp, mouldy or dusty material. This non-food home ritual makes no medical or skincare treatment claims.
