The Story Behind the Blend

Berry Blossom began with a simple idea: to bring the rich colours and distinctive characters of berries and botanicals together in one beautiful loose leaf tea.

At the heart of the blend are deep berry notes and the vivid colour of Hibiscus. As the botanicals meet hot water, they create the characteristic ruby-red infusion that has become part of Berry Blossom's identity.

Elderberry and Blueberry contribute to the blend's berry-led character, while Hibiscus brings its unmistakable tartness and brilliant colour. Rooibos provides a gentler, earthy foundation, helping to bring the different fruit and botanical elements together in the cup.

The result is a blend with contrasts at its centre — fruity yet earthy, vibrant yet uncomplicated, and equally at home in a warm teacup or poured over ice.

Berry Blossom is naturally caffeine-free because it is created without traditional black or green tea leaves. This allows the berries, flowers and rooibos to define the character of the infusion themselves.

At Flowers from my Meadow, Berry Blossom is thoughtfully blended in small batches in South Africa. Each ingredient is selected not only for what it brings individually, but for the colour, aroma, texture and flavour it contributes when the botanicals come together.

It is this meeting of berry, blossom and botanical character that gives Berry Blossom its name — and its place in our tea collection.

From Berry & Botanical to Cup

Loose leaf tea invites you to experience the botanicals before, during and after brewing. As Berry Blossom steeps, the berries, hibiscus and rooibos soften and release their natural colour, aroma and flavour into the water.

Stage 1

The Dry Blend

Before brewing, Elderberry, Hibiscus, Blueberry and Rooibos create a colourful loose blend of berries, petals, leaves and fine rooibos strands.
Stage 2

Add Freshly Boiled Water

Use 1–2 teaspoons of Berry Blossom Tea per cup and pour freshly boiled water over the loose botanicals.
Herbal tea blend steeping and infusing in hot water
Stage 3

Allow It to Infuse

Steep for 10–15 minutes, allowing the berries, hibiscus and rooibos time to soften and release their colour, aroma and flavour.
Stage 4

Strain & Enjoy

Strain the botanicals and enjoy the ruby-red infusion warm, or allow it to cool and serve over ice.

The Meadow Tea Ritual

Tea can be more than something we drink. Berry Blossom’s vivid ruby infusion and fruity botanical character make it easy to enjoy in different ways throughout the day. Serve it warm, pour it over ice or add a simple finishing touch and make the ritual entirely your own.

A Bright Morning Cup

Begin the day with a warm cup of Berry Blossom and a few quiet moments to enjoy its fruity aroma, deep ruby colour and botanical character.

An Afternoon Berry Pause

Turn an ordinary afternoon into a small tea ritual — brew a cup, step away for a moment and enjoy the colourful blend without rushing.

Pour It Over Ice

Allow the brewed tea to cool, pour it generously over ice and enjoy Berry Blossom as a vibrant caffeine-free botanical iced tea.

Add Your Own Finish

Enjoy it simply or add fresh berries, a slice of citrus, a little honey or another botanical accompaniment to make the cup your own.
