This version delivers a ruby-red, tangy, beautifully aromatic holiday drink with a bright, fruity finish.

Variant 2: Spiced Cardamom

A warm, spice-rich variation featuring:

• Whole cinnamon sticks
• Whole cloves
• Whole star anise
• Allspice berries
• Whole cardamom pods

This version gives a classic mulled spice flavour — deep, cosy, aromatic and perfect for traditional Glühwein or spiced winter drinks.

How to Brew — Alcoholic (Glühwein)

• Add 2 cups red wine to a small pot.
• Add:
• 1–2 cinnamon sticks
• 3–5 cloves
• 1–2 star anise
• A few allspice berries
• Variant 1: Add berries + hibiscus
• Variant 2: Add cardamom pods
• 1–2 fresh orange slices
• Warm gently for 15–20 minutes — do not boil.
• Strain & serve warm.

How to Brew — Non-Alcoholic Version

1. Add 2 cups grape juice or apple-cranberry juice to a pot.
2. Add the same whole-spice blend as above (including orange slices).
3. Simmer gently for 10–15 minutes.
4. Strain & serve warm.
